There has always been a lot of debate about the use of Fur vs the
environment & vs the cruelty in which they are obtained within the animal
kingdom. Some debate that real fur is natural, renewable, sustainable and biodegradable.That replacing with synthetic materials is more harmful for the environmentbut of course the animals life is saved, many say the opposite, that it has high environmental costs.We will never know what the ethical choice is, but we know as a fact that billions of animals are killed so that we own something that is a symbol of luxury and wealth. Release was made of hundreds of fragments of photographs I took of animals, such as leopards, zebras, crocodiles and meerkats.
Although the little girl is African I do not relate this to Africa at all, she represents the power that future generations might just have at hand.
At least I keep hoping they do.I chose Hortensia because they represent abundance and wealth, in Japan, they are given for an apology and gratitude, and the choice of blue was because it is the symbol of expressing regret and forgiveness
